This one-time meeting was a chance for all of us to get together and reflect on the year that passed after the Table for More Series. Key questions included: What did we learn? What inner work did we do, and what outward behaviors and actions reflected that change? How do our studios, organizations, and systems look today, and what do we still dream they can become? How are we doing in this marathon we are running together?
We recognized the need for interactive discussion surrounding the discrimination and injustice in our field, especially as we continued to navigate challenges of COVID-19. The issues surrounding accessibility, inclusion, and equity demanded our attention and action more than ever.
As a first step in this continued journey, we offered "Table for More": a 4-part Interactive Webinar Series, presented by G. Phillip Shoultz, III of VocalEssence (Minneapolis) and co-hosted by NATS Boston, Boston Singers' Resource, and the Greater Boston Choral Consortium.
