Classical:
Ian Howell
Dr. Ian Howell is a member of the studio voice faculty of the New England Conservatory of Music, where he also directs the graduate voice pedagogy program, leads research in the NEC Voice and Sound Analysis Laboratory, and coaches students in Baroque voice repertory. Dr. Howell's scholarly work explores the special psychoacoustics of the singing voice, with an eye toward practical applications for singers and voice teachers. As research director of the NEC Voice and Sound Analysis Lab, he and his students have worked to provide solutions to the challenges of making music during the Sars-CoV-2 Pandemic. As a classical countertenor, Ian Howell has sung on most major international concert stages as both a soloist and a member of the Grammy Award winning ensemble Chanticleer. He appears on recordings on the Warner Brothers, Rhino, Gothic, Yale, American Bach Soloists, and Naxos record labels and has published multiple live concert performances on YouTube. Ian Howell hold the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from NEC, the Master of Music degree from Yale University, and the Bachelor of Music degree from Capital University.

Megan Roth
Mezzo-soprano Megan Roth enjoys a varied career performing opera, oratorio, art song, and chamber music, with repertoire spanning from early to contemporary music. Most recently, Megan performed the role of Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Summer Garden Opera in Virginia and Meg in Little Women with MassOpera. She is also the founder and artistic director of Calliope’s Call, a professional art song performance group based in New England, which presents unique and dynamic programs of art song by contemporary, new, and traditional composers of the genre. As an active chamber musician, Megan performs with several renowned national ensembles including the GRAMMY® winning ensemble Conspirare out of Austin, Texas, GRAMMY® nominated Skylark Vocal Ensemble and True Concord, Lorelei Ensemble, and Yale Choral Artists. Ms. Roth holds an Artist Certificate in Opera and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State University. and a Bachelor of Music with honor in Violin Performance from DePaul University.

Rebecca Townsend
Rebecca Townsend is an arts administrator and educator with extensive experience in the realm of classical music and opera. An avid supporter of artistic development, she is passionate about her collaborations with fellow artists and students in providing them both training and performance opportunities. In addition to her work as an Assistant Artist Manager with Stratagem Artists, Rebecca has joined the team at Lenny’s Studio where she is involved in content development for artists and companies’ creative ventures while helping to enhance their connections with audiences worldwide. Rebecca also continues to enjoy providing voice lessons to the next generation of musicians. As a soprano, Rebecca’s performance highlights included the roles of Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte, Rose Maurrant in Kurt Weill's Street Scene, Diana in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and both the Sandmännchen and Taumännchen in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel. Rebecca earned her BM and MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Toronto and a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management from Toronto’s Centennial College.

Zakiyyah Sutton
Zakiyyah is an artist-activist who utilizes music and visual media to explore themes that centralize marginalized communities via her production company, Black and Bold Productions. As an actress and classically-trained singer who is well-versed in Opera, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and R&B, she employs her extremely versatile skill-set to reach a broad range of audiences and craft a sound that is uniquely her own--including her most well-known, "Hip-Hopera". She’s had the pleasure of bringing these sounds to numerous audiences from the House of Blues to more recently, the United Nations. She also has a commitment to education, having worked as an administrator at Conservatory Lab Charter School, offering private voice training via Harvard’s Holden Voice Program and the Hamilton Garrett Music and Arts Academy, and even creating an arts-activism program for teens in 2020 entitled “Creative Revolution”. In addition to her artistic practice, Zakiyyah currently works as a racial equity consultant with Arts Connect International, helping arts organizations reassess their practices through the lens of equity and creative justice. Her upcoming album, African Import, provides a window into both the beauty and complexity of the black diaspora, and the significance of its consumption by mainstream society.

Jeff Welcher
Jeff Welcher is recently retired as the director of the vocal jazz ensembles at Syracuse University, where he served as adjunct professor for nine years. While there, he helped establish the Jazz/Commercial Voice applied (lessons) major at SU, with 25 JCM voice majors in the Setnor School of Music. He has conducted festival choirs throughout New York state and well as all-state jazz ensembles in Rhode Island and New Hampshire. For 23 years he was Vocal Music Director at Oneida High School in Oneida N.Y. where he conducted Concert Choir, Freshmen Boys Chorus, Girls Chorus, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Choir and two contemporary a cappella groups. Before that Mr. Welcher taught Jr/ Sr High Vocal/General Music at Greene Central School, Greene NY. Mr. Welcher is a member of The Syracuse Vocal Ensemble, a professional chamber choir. He has served as New York State School Music Association Conference Vocal Jazz Ensemble chairman for the 1997-98 and 2001-2002 conferences. He is a certified NYSSMA Vocal Jazz Adjudicator and a certified judge for the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella.

Charissa Hogeland
Charissa Hogeland is an NYC based actress, singer, and songwriter, most recently seen on stage in Broadway’s “Frozen”, in which she understudied Elsa. She debuted in NYC as Veronica in the off-Broadway original cast of Heathers: The Musical. Other credits include: Nicola in the first national tour of “Kinky Boots”, Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” at The Arden theater, & “Showboat” at Lincoln Center. When it comes to television, she has appeared on NBC’s production of "Jesus Christ Superstar, Live!", AMC's "The Son", and is also known for her role as Florence in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime. Charissa is passionate about performing & loves sharing what she’s learned throughout her career with others. She specializes in coaching artists on performing through fear & nerves, audition prep, breaking down song, & vocal technique. You can follow her on instagram at @charissahogeland.

Colleen McCormack
Colleen McCormack is the Director of Professional Play Licensing at Broadway Licensing. Priorly, she was the Creative Development Manager for Disney Theatrical Group and worked on such shows as The Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen, Newsies, Peter and the Starcatcher, Shakespeare in Love, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, AIDA, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Freaky Friday and over 25 titles developed specifically for schools and community theaters. She served as an associate editor on Peter and the Starcatcher: The Annotated Script of the Broadway Play, and Newsies: Stories of the Unlikely Broadway Hit. One of the founding members of Women of Broadway, Colleen has produced for Women’s Day on Broadway, SheNYC’s New Works Festival, Maestra Music, Parent Artist Advocacy League and NYMF. In addition to licensing, Colleen is the Chief Operating Officer of The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-female-identifying, majority women-of-color orchestral collective. She holds degrees in theater and music performance from Providence College.

Taylor Stilson
Innovative voice pedagogue and master lecturer, Taylor Stilson (LMT, CPT, MM) holds positions as assistant professor of musical theater voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and adjunct faculty of voice positions at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and the Harvard University Holden Voice Program. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate students in musical theater, opera, and vocal pedagogy. Mr. Stilson has crafted a unique career as a voice instructor and is trailblazing a new paradigm of mind-body voice pedagogy. He holds certifications in massage therapy (LMT-MA), personal training (CPT-NASM), craniosacral therapy, myofascial release for throat, neck, and swallowing disorders, Ericksonian hypnosis, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) life coaching. Mr. Stilson received an M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy with Collaborative Piano Studies and a B.M. in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory. He maintains very active private voice studios in Boston, New York City, Providence (RI), Miami (FL), and online.
