Community Initiatives
We emphatically believe that Black Lives Matter. Please read our statement here.
Shaken by the terrible events of 2020, we co-hosted Table for More: Making Room in the Singing Arts, a four-part interactive webinar series that served as our first step in a continuing journey to address systemic racism and injustice within our field.
We have since committed a large portion of our chapter efforts to reflection, education, and thoughtful action around issues of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) in the Greater Boston music community. Several initiatives have evolved from this work, including our Spotlight Community Partnership, Community Partner Alliance, and Focus Topic Series.
We look forward to continuing to deepen our relationships with local organizations and working together to make our field a more inclusive, diverse, and rich landscape for the mutual benefit of all.
