COMMERCIAL MUSIC & INNOVATION
New this year to NATS Boston, the Innovation committee offering aims to thread culture and music from a melange of backgrounds and present them to the greater Boston ecosystem. The commercial music arena does not discriminate against genre; "popular music" constantly shifts and chameleonizes, and we're here to surface and celebrate the interstitial moments of its transformation. We aim to illuminate and support those shifts by creating empathy through education, inclusivity of all genres and people groups, and shepherding new ideas and relationships for all who choose to engage.
While our Membership Committee focuses on the connective tissues of our NATS Boston community, this is a space to ask - Who are we not serving? Who is not at our table? Why not? We take with us the learnings from 2020's Table for More and recognize that there is still much to be done with access and inclusion in the Boston vocal world.
